Welcome to Weddings by Carinestarbakes.

Our mission is to develop a culture of a very unique, sophisticated, and statement style of wedding cakes in the Norwich and Norfolk area that not only look great but taste amazing too!

It’s your wedding day, there’s gonna be a cake………but not just any cake…… why not make it THE cake that family and friends will still be talking about on your 5th, 10th, 25th anniversary.

I understand how important your cake and dessert table is on your special day. That’s why hours of love go into designing and making every cake to ensure we create a stunning centerpiece that’s guaranteed to wow your guests.

Some couples like to be really involved in the design process, working with me to decide what they’d like on each tier of the cake, whereas others are happy to give me a colour scheme and a few inspiration pictures and leave the exact design up to me. It’s completely up to you how involved you’d like to get in the design process but don’t worry, you have the final say on the design and if you would like, I can provide a hand-drawn sketch of your cake design for you to approve before the big day.

 

 

Dessert tables are the perfect way to complement your statement wedding cake. We have a range of options from mini cakes cups, cupcakes, donuts, cake lollies, chocolate geohearts, Iced biscuits, and more. Packages can be tailored to suit your exact needs.

Planning a wedding can be a stressful process which is why here I try to keep things as simple and straight-forward as I can for you. I have created this handy little guide to take you through the full process of booking your wedding cake step by step.

 Step 1: Book-in your date

Once you’ve got a date booked for your wedding (exciting!) please get in touch to check my availability. It’s also why I recommend booking your cake at least 4 months in advance as peak wedding dates fill up quickly. I’m currently taking bookings 2 years ahead so honestly, it’s never too early to get in touch. You can secure your date with me for a £50 deposit (non-refundable). If you’d like to sample some cake first (………the part the grooms love the most…..) then you can book a tasting pack of 3 or 5 flavours for £15 or £25 respectively.

 Step 2: Choose your Design & Flavour(s)

This is when we’ll talk through all your ideas for the wedding over a cuppa’ in person or virtually. This is also the right time to choose your favorite flavours from the tasting or request more options. By this point in your planning, you’ll probably have a good idea of colour schemes, flowers, and all the other little details so I can get a good idea of how your cake will fit in with the whole day. I can advise you on the size of cake you might need and after our appointment, I could sketch out your design if you would like for you to approve before we go any further.

 Step 3: Payment & Delivery

Once all the details are sorted, payment is due a month before the wedding and you can relax in the lead up to your special day knowing everything is taken care of. I prefer to deliver and set up the cake at your venue on the day of the wedding to make sure everything is perfect, so all you have to worry about is cutting it later on!

 

 

 

 

Every wedding cake I create is bespoke. This means they can vary greatly in price depending on the level of intricacy required and the size needed. These prices are intended as a guide only. Vanilla: Madagascan vanilla sponge filled with vanilla buttercream, plus your choice of strawberry or raspberry preserve.

Chocolate: Belgian chocolate sponge layered with mouthwatering chocolate buttercream and drizzled with chocolate sauce 

Lemon: Lemon sponge filled with zesty lemon buttercream and lemon preserve

Red velvet: Silky smooth red velvet sponge layered with cream cheese flavoured buttercream

Coconut & Mango/Passionfruit: Coconut sponge filled with a mango/passionfruit buttercream and sprinkled with coconut shavings

Coffee & Walnut: A light brown sugar coffee and walnut sponge filled with coffee buttercream

Salted caramel: Chocolate/vanilla sponge drizzled with caramel sauce and filled with a salted caramel buttercream 

Cookies & Cream: Belgian Chocolate sponge filled with Oreo cookies & cream buttercream.

Chocolate orange: Belgian chocolate sponge layers spread with an orange preserve and filled with a chocolate orange buttercream
